The Life You Chose
Posted by MrWoods in Any Given Day, tags: decisions, Eric Woods, life, Mr Woods, successOften times there comes a point in a persons life where a decision must be made, whether it be good or bad. It must be made. These decisions are sometimes easy to make but usually not so much. I personally don’t buy into the whole “well this is the life I was given” BS. Everything that may come and/or go or change in your life I feel is a direct result of the choices you make. Yes you might have been “dealt a certain hand” in this so-called Poker game called life, but that’s not the end its only the beginning. How you decide to play these cards you are “dealt” is what will ultimately decide what happens next for you.
Many times you may see a person who (in this same type of situation i’m speaking of) may feel down and out and upset with the way things are going. At this time many problems may also be building up for them but the biggest of these problems is that they fail to see and realize that things are the way they are because of actions taken or not taken in the past. Instead they may sulk, cry, stay away from everyone, lash out or even blame someone else for their troubles. It’s this lack of realization that might ultimately prevent them from getting things right and being able to move on to whatever may be next in life.
Fact of the matter is that making difficult decisions is a huge part of life, DEAL WITH IT. Some may not like it but it must be done. Also realizing that the decisions you make will affect how things may play out in your life is a part of life, deal with that also. No one is dealt a complete sh*t hand, it’s just that some people don’t see how to take what they have and use it to their advantage. So if you’re not taking advantage of your “cards” and life isn’t so good for you don’t be mad at the world. Do some self reflecting, its only the life you chose.

Disclaimer: NO I’m not speaking about anyone specifically. This was just on my mind, I was thinking in the past.

Yeah man. That’s the deal. We all start out with benefits and shortcomings and then it’s up to us to deal with that and make our lives whatever we can make them.
It’s easier for some people and tougher for other people. The funny thing is that it’s often the people that have it easy that fold first when something REALLY goes wrong. They weren’t used to struggling for theirs and fell off, entirely. Meanwhile, the person that’s been fighting that uphill battle takes it in stride.
I think the major problem is that people spend too much of their resources on “livin’ it up” and not enough reinvesting in themselves so they can make power moves down the line.
